performance engine swap

I know there's been alot of posts on getting more power out of the 104 engine and how crazy the cost is to do it. Since I have a 93 cabrio and they only came with the 104 engine I've been flirting with a few ideas and would like some input from everyone.
The magic HP number is 300.
Option 1: Turbo the 104 engine. Should be quite close to the performance numbers I'm looking for. Will the transmission and rear axle handle it?
Option 2: 4.3L engine swap from a 97ish E430. There's an aboundance of these cars. I'm sure I could find one from a wrecking yard from very reasonable. With about $3000 of Renntech parts and we're at 300hp. How much heavier is the 119 engine vs the 104 engine. Don't want to have to change my springs.
Any commments????

It's also a very expensive swap, but in my opinion the swap is worth it if you have the money.
