Help - Front Bumper Cover 1992 300E
Yep it happened! Wife ran up on concrete stop barrier at post office and cracked the lower part of the cover near the tow cover. I need to replace with stock stuff. Do they come pre-painted to match or must it be painted?
How bad a job, would like to do it myself?

depends on the year if they come the color of your car. Some you will have to paint to match. To remove is easy!! Just go under the car remove the bolts on the sides and 4 middle ones and one on top by the grill and that's it.

I have only bought bumper covers for 500Es but they come 'primered' in sort of the body color...in my case it was a green primer, and one was primered a dark grey for anothe car.
For sure, you will have to have a body shop spray a new factory cover...though you may find a good used one in your particular color at places such as 'Potomac German Auto' (a dismantler in MD and FLA)
