Interest in 94 E320 Cabriolet?

My wife is considering selling her late father's car, a '94 E320 Cabriolet. The decision likely will be made within the next week.

The car has 137KMi on it and runs well. We have put about 10KMi on it in the last 4.5 years, driving it only occasionally in winter to keep the battery charged. It is a Signature Series car, with most of the options available in '94, such as CD changer, heated seats, traction control. We have most, if not all service records since new.

If she does decide to sell, should we post it here? As a newbie, I don't know whether forum members would be interested in a car with such high mileage.

I would be interested if you were in california. I would still love to see pictures. Sad that the car is in New York. Most members here are from California but it would still be wise to post your ad here because the members here love mercedes. Good luck with the sale!

I wouldn't really consider that "high mileage," it's just getting broken in! I'm sure there will be interest, especially for a cabriolet. Good luck

Also post it in Mecedesshop.com and mbnz.org. Make sure to list or link a number of photos of the car with your message and give an asking price. These are the two things most asked for.

Personally I'm curious if the engine wiring harness and the head gasket have ever been replaced.

Thank you all for the kind responses. My wife and I will discuss the sale and asking price this week. If it's a go and the snow don't fall, I'll roll it out and shoot pictures this weekend.

We riffled through the service records and found that the head gasket was done in 1997 (in California!) at 48,000 miles. We found no mention of the engine wiring harness.

The car was purchased new in Virginia and moved to CA in '97 and to Alabama in 2000. It's only seen snow since we brought it home in '01.

137 - 48 = 89K miles, and three years after manufacture. I guess the question is whether the replacement gasket was a new and improved design. I replaced mine in 02 and I know it was an improved version, evidenced by the reinforcing in the trouble areas.

'94 E320 Cabriolet
The sale is on

She has decided to sell.

Again, it's a '94 E320 Cabriolet with 139,000 miles on the clock and in good shape overall. It's spruce green, with a black top and parchment leather interior, heated seats, traction control, and a 6-CD changer in the trunk. (One reader says the interior color really is tan, but we're quoting from the window sticker. I dunno which is right, so I'm mentioning both.)

The car is located in Upstate New York, near Albany.

Asking $13,000.

More details and pictures can be found at http://www.apricot.com/~junie/e320.html

1st buy a new one of these and have it installed.
Passenger side seat belt presenter does not work.

2nd why is it rusting?
Tiny rust blister on back, just under rear window.
if it has plugged up drains have them cleaned out.
