Bosch ICON(TM) wiper blade.
I bought one of these 'new-style' wiper blades for my W124 and it fit kinda funny because it seemed a little long. Guess what, it actually hit something as it makes noise when it gets to the top (middle position). Have no idea why, I'll try again tomorrow when I can see better.
Just thought I'd let people know.
Can't even find anything about it on the web. I bought it at Autozone btw.
I'll snap a pic or two tomorrow when it's snowing.. :-p

Was it a 24" blade? It doesn't matter what brand you buy but sticking with Bosch will work out in the long run because they last longer than the cheapo wal-mart or discount brands. A lot of times the new rubber can cause a noise but usage will eventually break it in. Rain-X will also cause the noise to happen too.

I purchased a 24" Bosch replacement blade from AutoZone 2 days ago. Fits perfect on my 300CE. I did have to pull it into place until it "snapped" in the locked position. Raining tonight in FL and it works perfectly. Smooth, clean wipe and slient.
good luck,

Yeah, it's a 24" blade. It makes a weird noise as it swings from left to right when the wiper's tip is at the 12 o'clock position. It doesn't make that noise going the other way back though.

it probably just needs braking in. when it isn't raining try cleaning your window w/ some window cleaner. I prefer invisible glass, its way better than windex or any automotive glass cleaner i've ever used.

reason why is because the wipers in these single wiper configuration don't sweep in a radial pattern, the wiper is pulled back while traversing the middle portion of the windshield.
i've had a similar occurence in my dad's 93 e320
now my e320 is sporting valeo ultimate wiper blades.
the best i've used yet
