Mercedes benz 1991 300ce(RIP), now an 89 300ce
ingition light
hey guys,
recently i had noticed that on my 91 300ce the ignition doesnt have a light around in like on most newer cars. Does anyone know if this car just never had one or if it just went out? if it went out, how do i fix it? if it never had one, how can i add one? thanks in advance.

The switch on the light by the mirror can be set to allow it to light with the door open.

yes. expensively


i just set my interior lights to come on when my door i open. when i turn the key, the lights go off.

im not sure if u understand my meaning, i just want to put a small light around the ignition switch itself, not mess with the lighting of the car.

lol you mean you dont like neanander's?

i believe they started with the light ring in the c-class when they changed its chassis. dont know the chassis # off the top of my head but i am sure a junkyard would sell you the pieces. and if i am not mistaken most lighted ones were on the steering column and not on the dash. will be a fun mod fo sho.
