1995 E320, Station wagon, second row folding seats?
Hi Guys
I have recently imported the above said car from Germany. The owner user manual is in German Langguage which i can't understand.
The question is that the second row of my car is divided into two parts, but i dont know as how to fold them up for some more cargo space.
Shall be greatful if any information is given with words / Pics. My previous car which was a Volvo 940 SW, had a switch on the top of the second row seat. We just use to move it and the back seat us to fell down on the seating cousin.

Fold seat bottom forward first. "Finger grip" on side near bottom releases.
Then, tip backrest forward, after removing the headrest(s).

Another seatback issue?
I wonder if this car has the same problem as my 1991 300TE, in that the seatback will not "unlatch" after the bottom has been folded forward. Is the linkage between the latch to the seatback and the lower lever a known wear or failure point?

Yes, a known issue
I replaced it once in my 90 300TE, and in my 95 E320 Wagons...just a quirky part, i guess, not too expensive if i recall correctly.

Replacement part
Any chance you remember what part was replaced? I live a couple of hours away from the closest MB dealer, so any guideance would be much appreciated! I have the MB service guide on CD, but I could not find the relevant part # there.

Its just a wild guess. Spray W -40 on the bottom latch and the clip where the back seat is attached. Maybe there is some rust in the wire thats why it is not releasing the back side of the seat in your car.

I've opened the doors and also fiddled with the lower latches. I suspect one or the other is not working correctly. I'll have to see if I can figure out how to get at the mechanisms to figure it out, or at least get my mechanic to do that
