Coolant Problems?
Recently i suspect that my 300 is using coolant at a very fast and steady rate. It started last April during long distance trips where the coolant low light came on, i added more coolant and now the coolant is low again. I put about 5-6K miles on it since. Is this common? Does anyone have any similar experiance?

oh good im glad somebody already made a coolant problem thread because i've had some problems recently. alright so a couple of days ago the low coolant level light went on, so i refilled it, and didn't think too much of it. but today after running a few errands and comming back to my car about 2 hours later, the inside of my winshield was foggy. just the winshield, no other windows. my friend told me it was the heater core leaking the coolant. any ideas on this?

hmm thanks for the info, im pretty sure that all the stuff amg_eric listed has already been replaced so ill have to check the heater core again since it couldn't have been regular condensation, like z300e said it was somewhat oily.

if your heater core is leaking you will have WET carpets. the heater core is on the passenger side of the firewall.
cap'n jasper has the BEST advice. have it pressure tested. when its pressure tested it pukes where it leaks. if it is a head gasket your car will run like **** because 1 cyl will be full of water.
