old thread, but if anyone else is having this problem.
make sure after you use the seafoam stuff you must.. stress MUST change fluids and filter. the seafoam cleans out amazingly well, but itll just go into your pan, so you have to change it out. without changing the filter/fluid, its just sucking up everyhting that it cleaned out.

If you hit the gas and "it didn't do anything", I can't think of any possibilities outside of you having an ASR equipped car with a bad Throttle Actuator. This causes all of these symtoms because it is a Drive By Wire system. It controls the throttle position and if it screws up, it develops a mind of its own. If you don't have ASR, might want to call a priest for your car!
