![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
hi,
i need to replace the cracked oil pan for my 1995 E320
just wondering ... there is more than one type and i do not what to choose!
the current part No. is:
R 104 014 12 02 (more oil capacity)
i found this part:
R 104 014 13 02
i bellive both can fit into the engine
1-what do you recommend?
2-more oil means more cooling? more performance? (what is the formulla)

check on this
I don't know for a fact but I think one oil pan is for the 4-matic cars and the other is for regular engines. I believe the one in your picture is a 4matic pan, I think those holes on the side are for the front axle shafts.

in my case i do car mainteneace twice a year. having more oil lets me go past 6000miles with ease between oil changes and no concerns. fortunately for me its 90% freeway driving which is very easy on teh car.
