Just wondering if anybody in this forum could help me out.......

I have a 1993 190E 2.6 which has approximately 37,000 original miles. It has been garaged pretty much since the day we bought it back in 93 so the paint is still shiny. No dings or dents. Just wondering if anybody in this forum could give an estimate on the market value of this car....

TIA,
AL

Actually, no.

If the car is in excellent condition as you claim - It can sell for at least five thousand.

it could vary wildly.

the low milage helps of course. anything over $5K and approaching $10 is reasonable. the later models are in that region, with low miles. (more than yours though!) diesels are in that range with high milage.

the problem is that its not a particularly highly desired model; AMG hammer, 500E, 300D, cabrio, coupe, 5 speed manual, wagon, in that order. yours is the base model E class (same model that i have, so im not knocking it) probably with standard options.

if it had a stick, the rear sunshade, the rear reading/ map lights etc etc etc then maybe.

Simple answer to your question, you probably can't sell it for what it's worth. I had a '92 190E 2.6 and loved it until somebody rear ended me and destroyed it. If you don't have a daily driver and don't mind an older car, just drive it. You might as well, for a car that old the difference between 37k miles and 50k miles is not that much in terms of selling price. In other words, driving it won't depreciate the value as much as it would for a new car.
