Removing MAF on M119?
Any of the 400E/500E500 folks have any tips on removing the MAF? I have replaced all of my vaccuum hoses except one that appears to run to the TBA. Need advice.

Sure you already know that the airbox needs to be removed. The MAF has an electrical connector that twists off, then you need a 7mm socket (I have the 7mm flex shaft driver from MB) to undo the clamp holding the MAF on. Make sure you take care when removing, otherwise you could rip the rubber coupler that connects to the MAF.
BTW, there are no vaccum lines going to the MAF, although the EZL lines run up under the drivers side distributer, then in through an opening between the intake and the block, one runs past the MAF and connects near the back of the intake manifold, its a ***** to get to.
This is a picture of the line/connector (under the intake manifold, closest to the firewall) with the MAF removed.
With the MAF in place, this is what you see

Thanks for the info. The pictures are just showing red x's. If you can re-post the pictures it would be that much more helpful. Thanks again.
