DRL's and HID's...Help please..
Hey all,
I have to replace my HID's as one of the balasts stopped working. The shop is replacing the whole kit under warranty, so that's cool. What I need to do or need help on is the following:
My car is a 1990 300E (Canadian car) with daytime running lights in the form of full power headlights. This means my HID's are on ALLLLL the time and it is probably contributing to the premature wear of the kit. What I want is to be able to roll with only the marker lights during the day and switch on the headlights as I please. Does anyone know how I should proceed? Some of the more technically advance people on here? I have searched and have had no luck on here yet...
Thanks in advance!

lots of cars
Sorry for the dealy but I have an idea...... have you tried wiring them to the steady current on the blinkers? It should work since you don't have high beams anyways also make sure you use a fuse between this set up......This will give you control from the head light switch so you can turn them on and off.....HIDs are only 12v and all the power is driven form the ballast so this should work......let me know if you tried it and how it worked....
