This is a good opportunity for you to trash the remains of your original engine wiring harness--if it hasn't already been replaced.
If you NEED to replace sparkplugs (doubtful) you may be in for some expensive repairs.

I did the platnum thing and was very unhappy. I got my best results with the simple ole bosch supers. Yeah check the wiring harness if the wires to the coils are brittle or the insulation is cracking off you may be in for a repair but if you can change the plugs then you can do the harness yourself too. Nothing to worry about.
