Mercedes benz 1991 300ce(RIP), now an 89 300ce
cvt transmission

just out of curiousity, has anyone ever tried sticking a cvt transmission in their benzo?

oo, its got no acceleration? i thought it got more cause its always at its most efficient...hmmm.is it a smooth ride atleast?

until very recently CVTs were only used on small cars with small engines as the torque of bigger engines caused problems of some sort. i dont remember the specifics.


therefore, unless you rob a fairly new nissan murano or audi of its CVT to relocate to your car, you will fubar your CVT in no time.

not only that, but they will need a change to the ECU as well.

i was asking just out of curiosity, as i read something about it recently. it seems like a good idea. anyway, the audi a4 has one i think and its pretty fast.
