Exclamation Auxiliary Fan 1995 E320 Not working?

Hello E320 lovers. Its hot in Tennessee and my E320 Wagon is heating up!!
I have the A/C and still no aux fan working? I am talking about the 2 fans in the very front. Any ideas how to verify if its a fuse , connection or motor problem? Again, both fans in front do not work even w/ the A/C on. Temp in bumper to bumber traffic is between 100 and 120 and it usually runs below 80

Try the fan switch first before replacing any relays or the fan itself.

I believe its along the right side of the valve cover (looking at it from the front). The switch looks greenish (OEM may be a different color however).

The fan has a plug to it, almost like a house plug except w/ round ends. Run it directly from the battery and if it spins when you connect it to the terminals then your fan is okay.

Cool

Well guess what I did - took it to a import mech i know. He sd it was probably the big black relay behind the fuses on the drivers side or the relay box under the carpet in the front passenger side. He sd this would be expensive so he hot wired the fan directly to the fuse box and so the aux fan works all the time now. Temp is now constantly between 80-90. He sd it is definitely in the relay somewhere. So its fixed for the summer until i can find out which relay is the culprit.

All of them!
Take the lid off the fuse anel and loosen the 6 screws at the edges to remove the main cover. In the rear you will find a blue and green relay with spade style fuses. The blue relay (aux. fan low speed) probably has a blown 15 amp (blue) fuse.
Let me know if that fixes it, or I'll tell you what to look at next. I wouldn't jump the fans, I don't like rigging as it tends to cause even more problems.

lots of cars
You should have a temp sensor that should turn the aux fans so i don't know why he's telling you there's a relay that does this?....you really need to connect everything as it was before and not hot wire anything...import mech like to do this for some reason....the only and easy way to hot wire the aux fan is to jump the two terminals at the connection where it connect to the temp sensor and this should turn them on...if this dosen't work you have a problem with the wiring...also by doing this u may blow a fuse but that's not a big problem that's what fuses are for...

we had a similar thing done so that our fans would work constantly and after a cross country move aparently it was too much strain on the fans and they died, the car overheated and killed the headgasket. just thought i would throw in my 2 cents even though they are probably worth like a penny.
