help....my car needs help

Up until two days ago, my car ran pretty damn good. Yesterday i noticed that my peddle (throttle/accelerator) got a little stiff and slugish. The car accelerates slower and this sucks...Any suggestions?

I just got my oil changed last week and was about to change my air filter with a K&N filter from Kragen Auto but they gave me a round filter. I know our filter is square,...right?....how am i supposed to fit a round filter into a square box. AHHHH I want to be able to make this meet without worrying about any problems.

Please help....
BTW, Where is the dipstick for the tranny fluid?

What's so funny?

The filters on the M103 engines are round. Not square...

I thought the tranny fluid dipstick was off-limits?? That only the dealer was allowed to check the fluid...

lots of cars
Off limits?...never heard that one before...it's next to the valve cover by the exhaust manifold...that thing with the red cap on it....make sure you run the car around and make sure the tranny can get warmed up then check it with the car on and on park...that's it...

By the way the air filter on the m103 is round/oval and not like the m104 that is square...

dude - I have the K&N and you have the right filter. The square ones, like Abraham mentioned if for the M104 engine and etc. So no worries, It comes round but it'll fit inside the box oval. It'll be a little snug too.

Good News...My cars running fine now. It just went away. Does anyone suggest using those liquids that "restore" high mileage tranmissions that you can find at kragen or autozone, like the Lucas brand, Z-Max, or any other brand? What about cleaning the fuel injectors...what should i use?

I would stay away from miracle engine and transmission treatments/snake oil. Sometimes they will dislodge deposits that were plugging up leaks and cause seals to leak oil. A bottle of stp every 6 months is all you need to keep injectors clean if you're running premium gas. If your gas pedal is stiff, try lubing the throttle linkage under the hood with transmission fluid.

One additive I have used with 100% positive result is Restore. I have used it on several high mileage cars and it has performed as advertised. On my 300CE, I was using about 1 qt. of oil every three tank fulls. The car had several "weeping" areas etc. Since using the Restore, I use less than a qt. of oil between changes. Have 3000 miles on since the last change and the level is just the same as when I changed the oil and filter. In addition, the "weeps" have all but gone away. NO more small spots on my driveway and no more blow-by under hard acceleration.

Good luck,

Jayare
