Angry rubbing noise 1995 E320
I notice rubbing noise in my engine compartment. Upon close inspection I notice my fan is rubbing againt compressor pulley. Can someone tell me what causes fan to be so close to pulley. Is the pulley loose or something major? I am still driving the car. Noise seems to go away as engine warm up. It is worst when engine cold. Could this be Belt tentioner or belt pulley is failing? Is it something I can check myself or is this the job of the Pro? Help ! Help ! Help !
