If price doesn't matter then why not just get a 500E/E500?
There are a lot of things you can do, but first decide what you want your car for? what look do you want? Extreme custom show. everyday driver, race car. find out what you want out of your car, then start modding.

Really?

RENNTech used to sell a 260hp 3.6 engine for $14k, not installed

Leather Orthoped Recaros for ~$5k

All the usual tire/wheel/susp/sound/video mods are available.

Not much choice for body kits...

if price doesnt matter then the sky is the limit.

*amg widebody kit (rarer than hens teeth, but price doesnt matter!)
*amg 7.3 liter V12 engine swap (same as pagani zonda.)
*and why not super/ turbo charge that sucker while youre at it. coz nobody else will have a charged 7.3 benz liter V12
*all wheel drive is great for traction. mercedes sells 4matic versions of most of its current lineup and had a 4matic 124
*and why not slap in that fancy new 7 speed tranmission while you're at it.
*and the sequential shifters from the CLK GTR DTM whatever

i could go on and on and on about things which cost ten times the value of your car. but price doesnt matter so thats not an issue.

There would be something sublime about having an AMG V12 hidden inside an old W124

I've never seen a v12 124, though I'm sure a German has probably done it. Pictures would be nice. Shame that there aren't more aftermarket upgrades available for the 124. I've been considering either a C36 swap (280hp) or a Mosselman twin turbo conversion (320hp). A 5 speed conversion would have to be done at the same time...

I also just wanted to say that I think it was great how everyone totally ignored Norcal.

I want to mod this particular 300e because my father use to drive one long ago when i was a kid and I loved that car...so when I told him that I was getting in to a 300e he smiled and said "why do you have to copy me for" lol (as a joke) and he said you cant do anything to that car..its too old blaa blaa...so I want to prove him wrong, since its goin to be my daily driver I dont want to turn it in to a trailer queen or a freaking beast...but something that's eye catching and pops out...I already looked in to the tail/head light conversion but what im most interested in is the widebody kit...i never knew they made one 4 the 124 chassis...If anyone can fill me in on the details I would appreciate it. What could I do to the stock engine to make more power...not too much power but just enough to jump off the line?????

Thanks

I am currently in a project of my the 500E/E500 Fenders out of Carbon Fiber or fiberglass & should be for sale hopefully soon. I am also making molds of the rear 1/4's so that w124 owners (non 500's) can do a rear wideBody also. This would be a nice way of going wide body but keeping it clean cut. Hit me up if you are interested: AS_Dezine at Yahoo.com .Good luck...

go to 914club.com, there's tons of em...

None of mine are stock, they are re-bodied and have overpowered transplanted engines. My neo914 is based on this ex-track car.

Hey..dont dis the 914's. They may look that way but once you get them nice and beefy (especially w/a V8) they are undescribable (if thats a word).

German engineering is still german engineering and they were pretty advanced for their years.

BTW, Nice 914
