Euro headlights

Good day! I'm interested in changing the headlights in my 1989 300 E into Euro headlights, and I've surfed the net for all the options I have. So far, I've found:

1.Euro headlights, which are the entire thing (glass cover, housing, bulb, wires, etc.) These cost about 300-500 dollars depending on the sites you visit.

2. Another thing I saw was "Euro" headlights, by dropping a flat piece of glass (or is it plastic?) which essentially makes the front of the stock headlight flat. I saw one adverstised for 88 dollars.

Which one do you guys have? Are their any advantages or disadvantages to each? I'm also planning to change the turn lights, to clear corners, which of the two options would go with the clear corners? I just want a clean look.

If you have pics, I'd appreciate it if you can post them. Thanks!

Jay

On your #2, are you sure you're not just seeing the replacement lenses for the Euro lights? You can't snap those on NAm headlights....

the ebay guy is on drugs...

you canNOT have euro lights by just changing the glass lense.

do not waste your money!!!!

those lenses do NOT even have the plastic rim.

to get the real thing it will cost you.

Ditto. It's just as bad as the guys selling 'chrome' door trim adhesive strips as upgraded grilles.

Guys, I think I'm gonna try that 1 piece lens, I love my wipers. If I don't like it then I'll invest in the best. Sounds fair?

I wouldn't do it, but since you really like keeping the wipers then let me know how it turns out. lol

Euro's

$347 for the Euor headlights, clear corners, and smoked tail lights, including shipping? This still isn't a good deal? What's wrong with this?

A quick question about Euro lights and wipers. Will these Euro lights allow me to keep my wipers? Are they palstic or glass lenses? If they are plastic, who makes glass? Got a link? thx...

they are plastic (or polyurathane) and no, they will not allow you to keep your current wipers...besides, the install will look so much cleaner without them.

see my car - no wipers but I kept the original wiper panels.

Good advise for those in areas that use sand/cinders instead of salt and those in rural sandy/gravel areas. When I lived in NM, I think 98% of windshields had at least a small crack...

Mine got that way in Houston - no salt, no sand, no snow - just everyday road crap hitting them.
