Any comments on these shocks? Any good?
40bucks a piece new Vs. 11year old original shocks? Change or keep original?

I have yet to find anything where the cheap stuff is worth what the cheap stuff costs.

Everything costs something to make, and the expensive stuff is expensive to make. That's what makes it expensive.

The trick is to find out why something costs more to make and make sure it's a reason you can justify paying for.

Example: a 24 karat gold television set would be very expensive, but it wouldn't be better - unless you LOVE gold. But, a 24 karat gold ring is definitely better than a cigar band.

Cheap shocks are cheap, but there's a price in performance loss.

oh, I am also waiting for the 07'ML 320 CDI to go "live" in the US of A!

Well said, I am going to stick with the Bilsteins or Boge replacements.

That's my whole point - cheap shocks won't hurt his car, and if he doesn't care about performance, then $600+ for Bilstein would be stupid. However, most (by most I mean all) of the people on this board do care about performance and so the Monroes would really be a let down, even if they were free.

I just spent the last five minutes thinking about how much I love these cars.
I feel sorry for the non-Mercedes drivers out there.
