question on front wheels

i've recently noticed that the drivers side front wheel , sits about 10mm
further back than the passengers front wheel, is this normal for w124's?
The passengers one looks correct in its overall wheel arch balance,so if both front wheels should be exactly the same, is their provision for adjusting the front wheels back or forward on w124's?

I heard for these rear wheel drive cars that, the driver side wheels are somewhat off centered to counter for the drivers weight, thats all I have.

Thanks for your input Makahveli.
Pehaps a few w124 owners could have a look to see if they have a difference,by simply running a ruler or something about 20mm in width down between the tyre and the rear part of the wheelarch(lower body molding). This would be most helpful and interesting. thanks.

Mine's the opposite. My passenger side fron wheel is back towards the rear part of the wheelwell. I never measured it, but it's visually noticeable. I just assumed my alignment was bad and I'm waiting until I can afford to replace all the suspension bushings before I do something about it.

happened to me once on my car after someone rear ended me and caused me to spin out ona blind curve and the front wheel slammed the curb headon... result bent control arm.

put the car on a lift and see if the control arm is bent.

I have never heard of one wheel that is supposed to be further back than the other

I just checked mine.
There is absolutely no difference between the right and the left side, Neither at the front nor at the back

Thats interesting stuff guys, cause if i can get the drivers wheel the same as the other, than i should be able to fit a slighty larger tyre on without any rubbing on the inner wheelarch mould.I'm planning on fitting 225/55's on my 16 inch alloys, which are currently riding on 215/55's.

Sorry guys for the late reply.

The lights are Korean HID Conversion kit, I think I have 7000k bulbs in there. These lights are surely much brighter than my stock euros, yet they are not discruptive to other road users.

Back to the original topic. I've had my car checked out and I've said in another thread that the mech reckons the car has had a front end crash before (I knew it had, was my mom ). This caused some part to be bent back towards the car. The part I'm talking about is where the control arm connects to the chassis.. I don't know what the technical name is, but as my mech said, it's a flange.

Hope this helps.
