1995 E320 Wiring Harness Problem
A lot of postings in the past have been made on the common wiring harness problem of the W124s. Is 1995 susceptible ? If so, what are the most common symptoms ? Is MB gonna fix it as a "recall" item ? If not, how much does it cost, parts and labor? My E320 has 45K miles on it and it is now over 10 years old. I am getting nervous about taking it for a long driving trip this summer.

Yes, the 95 E320 has the dreaded wiring problem. No, MB will not do anything about it - you're screwed, just like the rest of us. Here's a lot of information on this problem: Wiring harness problem
Don't worry about taking a long trip with your car this summer. The wiring harness is mostly a problem if you fiddle around under the hood and move the wires. This causes the insulation to flake off.
Regardless, you should plan on changing the wiring harness BEFORE it becomes a problem. It's not a matter of IF it becomes a problem, but WHEN.
