yet another A/C question to bore you all to death!
yet another A/C question to bore you all to death!
ok, let start out by saying my 1995 had its entire air air conditioning system rebuilt/ replaced about 3 years ago.
ok, when i first got the car 1 1/2 years ago, my air conditioning worked really well. so, i have noticed that over time, that my A/C has blowing has gotten weaker and weaker. so, right now my A/C blowing on its high level is barely as strong as the A/C blower set at its low setting. any ideas or sugestions what may be the problem?
i did have the freon level checked just by chance that it may be low, the pressure was good, and couldnt add any freon.
Thanks...

That sounds like a problem I had with a pathfinder - the drier was clogged up and so it was not draining the condensation and it was freezing solid. It would start off working, but it would slowly get worse and worse, as if the blower were losing power. It sounded like it should be blowing but it would be just trickling out of the vents.

Not sure if it means the same on your model, plus your car seems pretty new to have a vacuum leak like that.

The vacuum element I'm talking about is the one on top in the photo in the link. You do not have to remove the evap case from the car to get to it, just the dash. I had to remove the case to install new evaporator and at the same time I went ahead and replaced all 6 vacuum elements including one you can not see because it's inside the case.

you may have a short somewhere in your wiring. I had the smae problem you described originally. My blower would run the same slow speed no matter what fan setting it was on. It finally quit all together. Turned out it blew out the big fuse by the drivers side hood hinge. I replaced it and it hasn't acted up again.
