But I bet that would still be cheaper than buying real carlssons/walds/etc.
If you are going to get them powder coated, do it before using them. the brake dust would cause a bit more of a headache for prep work.
I like these wheels a lot, i really think they'll suit the w124 shape... they're probably better quality, i'm pretty sure they're japanese
i like these because of the lip, and also they look like they would work well with the w124... they're carlsson knock-offs from what i can see

i might let the final price dictate my decision if i can't choose one

There's nothing wrong with replicas just look for the proper offset which is 35-40mm and 7-8" wide rims. Also the centerbore on a mercedes is 66.6 or you will find some rim manufacturers use 66.59. The problem with some replica rims is that they are really heavy since they are cast wheels.

snsmbz, the black ones are pretty cool, but the others are not my taste... appreciate the suggestions though.
i like these a lot, i might try something like this, though it's a little different from the 'traditional' w124 styles... (belongs to Frederic0w124, hope you don't mind if i borrow the image...) it updated the look of the car without taking away from it
Why can't he go cheap? Why would you put 3k rims on a 3k car?...His car is probably a daily driver unlike yours and bent lips, nicks, and curb rash will be a big concern. I wouldn't like to f#@ up a 3k set of rims and if i did buy them it would be for a show car.
i build my cars to abuse them, not to let them sit.
and price of your car doesnt justify having fake parts. i got a 89 civic hatch shell for free and put $800 wheels on it, so what. i just despise of fake anything. wheteher it be cologne, wheels, shoes, clothes.. anything.
i just dont fake the funk and cheap out anything i work hard to buy. id just dish out a few hundred more and get the real deal.

Chris and ashman have Aero 1 AMG Hammers that are basically impossible to find even tho i had a set with the wrong offset. I don't think those rims are an option. I located 3 300e mercedes with those rims in chrome 2 of the owners will not sell them and 1 is thinking about it. I gave them my number just incase they changed their mind.

If i were to get any, they would probably be one of these. I like the black and chrome ones too. I think something like that would look good on my car, because it's whit w/ black trim and tint. I would get some Aero's, hands down, if I coud ever find any!
