I thought my exhaust was coming today, but it was just the hardware. So I called up Auto Parts Wherehouse. And I was like, "WTF?!" And they said they were out of stock and would try to fix the issue tomorrow.

I am *******g pissed!! But, atleast I got my new shiny light.

I wasn't fond of the clear tails at first but they kinda grew on me.

the clear corners are a must have for any w124 owner.

Get the taillights and headlights first. Your car is going to look whack if you have the WALD kit with those stock lights.

lookin good, man. You will like the improvement of euro headlights even more than new corners and tails. They really update the look.

When you get the Euro's, make sure you apply chrome tape (from a local auto supply shop like shucks, kragen, pepboys) to the silver painted surfaces inside the light housing. It will make your lights look much better... It's kinda tricky though and takes some patience.

Keep it up, it's coming along. wheels and suspension are a must!!

I cheated. They're not "true" LED tail lights, but I put LED bulbs in them. Does make a difference!

with the price of the wald kit you can work on A LOT of the smaller stuff so your car will be practically almost done when you buy the kit. lol

I am going to get so much crap for saying this, but...

I think I might be the only person that likes the "look" of the American headlights rather then the Euro version. Call me crazy, but I like the way theyre 2 piece!

Is there anyway to change just the glass housing for something that looks cleaner and that can withstand the heat of Xenons? Or, do I have to go Euros. I will, because I don't like the look of aftermarket headlights... they look too Japanese style. Trust me, I know the advantage of the Euros becaue these American version suck... can't even see deer on the 5 frwy!

New Lights!-img_0208.jpg

I know some of you northerners are going to be pissed, but Im taking off the headlight wipers! Hey, I live in SoCal... no reason to have them unless I go to Big Bear or Tahoe, but I don't Snowboard. I'm going for that clean look too. Any suggestions on painting these? They're already primored. I am also selling the whipers, cheap, if anybody would like them. They're only about 2 years old, and I never ran them. (had a front collision 2 years ago)

Whats the advantage of the euro headlights? I installed silverstars in my US spec ones and it made a little bit of an improvement. Are the euro housings/bulbs that much better? And I may be interested in those wipers and motors.... Neither of mine work because a re-tread got kicked up on the highway and pwnd the front of my CE. My dad managed to fix everything almost perfect except for the wiper motors. Oh well

Once I paint the new covers and get them off, I will Thread them here and give them a price, probably by this weekend. Funny thing is, about a year ago, a tire tread got picked up by the car in front of me, and took out my corner light!

Excellent I may need them, and I may not. I still cant decide whether to get european spec BOSCH/HELLA or get some of the japanese lights :C The clear lenses with black projector type look I like, but then again... Plastic lenses on a benz? Not a good flow.. Help? I also found black/smoked european HELLA/BOSCH and I am in love But, Im not sure if the japanese specs will project better or will the BOSCH/HELLA? Anyone? Sorry to steal from the thread :C but its kinda relevant?

I took off my headlight wipers and put in those blank panels just like you're wanting to. All I did was use a spray paint can that was color-matched to my car. (Since your car is white...maybe you can just use some generic white spray paint?) I spent a couple hours or so painting, sanding, and clearing, and mine came out great. They match the car exactly.

figure out the color code of your car, and go to www.towerpaint.com. Actually, just call them, and order some color-matched paint. While you're at it, buy a can of clear coat as well. The color is a very good match.

Regarding those projector style lights, if you get those, make sure you put chrome tape all over the place inside those. Otherwise the dark plastic crap will stand out like a soar thumb.

IMHO, they are a little ricey. No offense, if you like them, go for it.

Yup, I believe the color white code for our cars is 143. I'll double check later for you when I get off work.

Yeah. they are ricey, but my headlights are crap and I want to have decent looks + better focusing/projection over my stock US spec lights. Will the euros perform better than the US spec? Or will the japanese ones perform better than even the euro spec? For me, I want good light so I can drive safely... look is secondary to function in this regard. Id rather be safe with ricer lights than bling blingin with no visibility.

I have no idea how those lights will perform. Frankly, they could work really poorly, or they could be amazing.

The euro lights are a HUGE improvement. I'm not kidding. They may not be a drastic mod in terms of looks, but they look cleaner IMO, and the light pattern is very even, wide, far, and bright. I say get the Euroes because they are known to perform well. If you're a gambler, get those projection style ones. If you are looking to upgrade to HID's, then those projector-style ones might actually be smarter.

Cant be used for HID/XENON because of the housing/face is plastic and not high-temp glass. Euros/US spec would be the only lenses capable of handling that kind of heat. Im not much a gambler because im in college and this is my summer job money, but I really am not sure. If you say taht the euro perform way better than US spec, thast enough for me. Ill couple that with some silverstars or eurolite xenons (bulbs, not full kit) and ill have some good light! (finally). I do think the japanese ones will perform well because they are semi-projectors, and even standard bulbs in decent projectors are mad bright. BUt again, Id rather not risk it. :C Sigh... I may do the japanese ones just so that I can know for sure, and post information here for other people. I know im going to get some **** for using them, but well see.

I bought some LED lights and I am painting those silver, because they were orange, so they look silver while they're not blinking in my Katmacs.
