EHA valve maybe? On back side top of throttle body under air cleaner. Supposedly they leak a little when they are old and the only thing you can do is replace. My mechanic told me this was why I had to crank my 300E to start it when its cold so I bought one and replaced it but it didn't make much difference. The old one was weeping gas, though and it is easy to get to and replace. Cost like between 100 and 200 bucks I don't remember exactly, readily available from any Mercedes parts dealer

fuel leakdown

My car has 80,000 + miles on it...after sitting for a day or more it cranks a bit before firing. If run daily it starts right up. My mechanic said to live with it as it is injector related and costs a fair amount to remedy. And that's fine with me. I'm curious, does the part in the aribox, the 100 to 200 part mentioned, make any difference? Or is it also part of the overall problem?
thanks,
kurt

Part Number

If It Is The Little Black Valve With 2 Bolts Through It On The Back Side Of The Tb The Part # Is A000 070 39 62. It Sells For About $400 At My Dealership.
