lots of cars
Which bolt is it on his front struts that is stuck. is the the lower ones or the one in the engine cmpartment?
The one int he engine compartment is easy, but requires an allen on top of a 21mm bolt I believe.
If it is the lower ones, did you try an impact socket and a long breaker bar?
Also heat can help to loosen a stuck bolt too as far as I remember.
I would put some liquid wrench and heat the sucker up a bit and then try to break it loose if that works. one could also try an air chisel to wrap the bolt a bit then try to break it loose.
Didn;t you guys take the front springs out with my spring compressor? I know you guys got the reas which chris said took like 6 hours with the kragen compressor which sucks ***.
I rented one from them once, and bent the hell out of it just trying to compress one of my springs. but they took it back no questions and gave me back the deposit.

It was the lower two bolts that connect to the spindle everything else was easy. The rear shocks weren't bad at all even with the kragen spring compressor. We tried WD-40, Tried to push the impact gun to the max psi, and all the leverage possible. I didn't want to strip the bolt so i just pushed them to the max before stripping them because once i knew it was turning and felt soft it was the bolts were about to strip.
I didn't try heat because we really didn't have anything to heat it up. I'm sure someone with a better impact gun and a big *** air compressor could take them out.
Dude, i tried and tried until I gave up...I didn't want to damage the strut by using a air chisel because he wants to sell these since their almost new...If it was just replacing shocks and not really caring about the old ones i would go that way...
On my benz i always use anti-seize so when i changed my suspension it took me around 3 hours, springs and struts.

Hi Pal. Sorry to jump in on your thread but this is my first time to do this chat thing (dont laugh coz im very serious) I need some advice from you guys: I put a set of 20" rims on my 300e and had to raise it to avoid ruining my tyres. I want to keep the set of tyres but really hate that huge gap between the wheel arches and the tyres. What can i do?

change to eibach springs because any other spring setup will lower you car too much and make your rims rub also what is the size of your rims? Your tires are too wide so you will need to change to a smaller tire

Hey Ryan, CVS gave me your pictures by mistake:
By the way, weren't you afraid of looking a little ghey without a shirt?
It's amazing what pops up on google image search when you're looking for a humorous "bump" image!

As far as lifting without going back to stock - try spring pads.

Wow, why'd you do that?
Are you just sick of working for "the man" and so you're throwing off the shackles of the working class?
Fight the power!
Remember that Sprint commercial?
"...It's my little way of sticking it to 'the man'."
"But, aren't you 'the man'?"
"Yes"
"So you're sticking it to yourself."
"Maybe."

mercedes E220 (w124)
I want to get dvd screens fitted in the rear headrests, could anyone tell me if i can get the screens fitted to the headrests i already have or would i have to buy new ones.
Has any one done this or have any info? did mercdes fit an 12v power socket to plug stuff in or can/do i use the lighter to power the dvd system couz i don't somke.
Also did the the w124 get fitted speaker in the doors or did they not ? i think only the rear deck and the dash had the speakers. if i get powerful speakers would the dash start shaking/rattling wht is the most the dash and the rear deck can handle couz these cars are heavily sound proofed.

lots of cars
Naw, My car pretty much sucks *** for now......the blurry picture makes it look nice...it needs soo much work i'm kinda just seeing what I do with it?...maybe buy another one and transfer all the good parts??
Chris - That was lamborghini of orange, You can see it from the 55 freeway. I got some Pirelli P Zero Asimmetrico for the rear and Direzionale for the front.
They had some pretty rare cars there like the lamborhini SUV, it's the red one in the corner of the pic. Also a Diablo V2 and SV, You can imagine they had a whole bunch of gallardos and murcielagos.
VIX- Yes you can cut out the headrest and install 5.6" screens or buy an adapter so you can mounted them on the headrest mounts. Also the cig lighter socket is 12v but you can also buy a DVD/AM/FM unit and power the whole system like that with a A/V distribution box.
