I used to get that "sewing machine" sort of idle when I first replaced the motor mounts on my 400E, but a while ago a leak developed at the front of the engine and you can feel the engine running now.

Well my battery is still good and we had warrenty on my alternator. But yeah the symptoms your discribing sounds like my car. Since i replaced my alternator it has the same problem. So what is the OVP?

Over Voltage Protection

it is located behind the battery terminal.

Pry open (gently) the black plastic wall that you will see once you remove the battery. Once you pry the wall open you will see what looks like two enormous plugs, on top of one of those plugs lays the 10 fuse inside a flip lid.

replace the fuse and voila! you should be all set.
