W124 300E Dashboard Humming - Help

Almost every start-up I get a loud humming noise from somewhere in the dash - sometimes it passes but sometimes it continues.
Sounds like electrical whining but I can't track it.

Anyone else had this problem?

08 Lexus GS350 AWD. 08 Lexus RX350 AWD - wife's. 94 MBZ E320 - still have it.
Carefully inspect all the fuses. Sometime and tiny hairline-crack in a fuse can cause it.

left side of dash?

My 1993 hums, well, more of a clicking sound only in the mornings. It comes from the left side of the dash. Someone posted it may be a vaccumn hose in the engine bay mounted on the firewall. Possibly leaking and the air pump is filling the vaccumn system up. Maybe? I'm now so used to it I don't pay attention to it. I looked at the hoses and visually they are fine...but a small leak would nver be seen, only heard!
