Moving to New Mexico

Well after 17 years oversees, I am finally moving back to America. Sadly, I have to leave my Starship behind. I had originally intended to come back to Germany and drop some cash into it, but it's pushing 20 years old so my wife convinced me it was time to let go.

Well the compromise is that I get to buy something with a little more spring in it's step and not so close to the retirment home. I still want a W124, but I am looking for something maybe only a decade or so old. If anyone in the NM area know where I can find a good deal "H.A.B.U.". I may still be rolling back to GE in the future and will take the car with me. Thanks peeps!

Ok,ok. Here they are. What ever W124 I get, I want to keep the same type of profile I had with the Starship, but probably go big (as is possible) on the rim size.

Beautiful car,

2 things I would do to your car, if it were mine.

1. Take the chrome fender trim off.
2. buy the ebay - add on front lower bumper valance cover, and make the current one look brand new

but it is really a nice looking car regardless

What did you lower it with? Or are my eyes stupid? Hey, your car is buck-toothed like mine!

Did you hit a curb? But yeah, I love the blue color and the euro lights... I guess euro lights arent a big deal to you though

Yeah, high Italian curb got me. Lost one of those fenders and never bothered to replace it. The sign in the back window was the for-sale sign. That thing is the fastest, most comfortable thing I ever drove. The previous owner (A German Mercedes mechanic) used some euro-brand shocks and cut the springs to get something like 2 1/2" drop in the front and 1-1 1/2 drop in the back. My favorite feature was a removable trailer hitch, even though I only used it once. Im gonna miss it.
