Angry preventing star theft

Had the unfortunate experiance, again!!!, of some arsehole trying to remove the star from the bonnet. Fortunantely someone must of disturbed them, unfortunately it wasnt me , as it was still attached though not looking so healthy. Just wondering if anyone had any creative ideas to deter would be thiefs, such as wiring the battery to the star so it provides a nice shock or mabe sharpening the star so it acts like a knife I am not sick or anything but this sort of thing annoys the @#*! out of me and i would like to have piece of mind when i leave my ride alone. I have heard of removable stars, just havnt been able to track them down myself, just wondering if anyone else has heard of,seen or has one? And can comment on them.

removable stars

There are removable hood stars that you can install and they can be taken out easily. Check out the online parts stores.

Friend of mine had a Caddy in the early 90's and had the hood emblem wired to the horn. If you bent the emblem over, the horn honked till you let go.

*******s will break it even if you hook it to the horn. The problem is that metal used there is just too weak. Its like Aluminium, breaks when bent.

This is what I did when I had mine stolen three years ago. Never had another star lost to asswipes. I just bought the cheaper duplicate star. It looks the same, feels the same, the only difference is that its made of STEEL! Try breaking this one off PHUCKERS. I have had several attempts since then, but when I return to the vehicle, its just slightly out of its socket but still there though. So, all I do is just tiwst it back into position.

I wanna put this star in with my audio system Capacitor! That will be real fun. I carry a 1.5 Farad Cap. Enough. All I need is a camera in my car (my next project with a DVD player with USB) and try to somehow get this on video. That will be something to post on this site!

Removable Hood stars...
taking a moment from the MASSIVE thread OF INFININITE subjects to pass on some info...

http://www.adsitco.com/category.asp?CID=1506

You have some people who are envious and just plain jealous and vindictive that others cannot have good things. they in turn will do damage to cause pain and frustration. It is on the level of the same delinquent bastids that like to key cars...
Would love to see someone get a serious shcok and end up with a "Don King" hairstyle when they touch a car.

Hasta Lasagna!

Cheers guys, like the idea of the unbreakable star . Cant agree more then feeling of looking at the star at the end of the bonnet . When the star isnt there it is like driving a differant car .

Even thru the storm today was seeing my star thru the windy haze of rain and tree branches and stuff while on the turnpike.

It will never fade...

You guys are freaking nuts... *****, you guys need to go outside and get some air or something, LOL. I shaved my star (94-95 E320) and I'll give it away for free. Worthless to me. Anyone? Soon, even my wheels won't show no tri-star but AMG logo. LQQK:
