Mercedes benz 1991 300ce(RIP), now an 89 300ce
windshield tint
everyone know that blue tint thats on the top of the windshield? its supposed to help block the sun i suppose. well, has anyone elses started to fade? i dont think mines doin to much anymore and is there anyway i can darken it again? thanks

You can get a tint strip installed - just like other window tint - for like $20

My guess is that the previous owner had installed that stripe. Just get another one put on, and while you are at it, put on some tint all around!

i wish, id get that chrome/silver tint. and i think its in the glass like saijin said cause you cant get windshield tinted in many states....nj is one of em, otherwise my windows would be tinted all around

The blue tint is in the glass, but a lot of people when they tint their windows will get an additional strip at the top of the windshield.

like i said, nj laws dont allow for front windows to be tinted. and i dont need to get tickets everyday for havin em as much as i would like to

i got a neighbor who tinted all his windows on his cadillac, he gets pulled over a lot, but hes friends with the chief of police so he doesnt really care

Yeah my friends scion tc is tinted like 35% all around and he has clear corners.. God, does he get **** non-stop. Its not worth it in NJ...
