Im not sure I understand your problem. Please describe it better and take a picture so I can see what type of cd player it is. Thank you.

when you say stuck, do you mean the cd physically gets stuck, or the player "hangs" and won't play - like a computer crashing?

If it's a 2005 it's a W211 and you've posted in the wrong forum.

There's also an audio forum.

Supersedes: P-B-82.64/385 dated Sept. 16, 2004

Group: 82

Revision: Updated Symptoms and Remedy

SUBJECT:

Compact Disc Changer (CDC) Part Change

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that have all or some of the complaints listed below, perform the below procedure to resolve.

^ CDs are not recognized by the CD Changer (CDC)

^ It is not possible to insert a CD into CDC or the changer has no function.

^ CDC is no longer present on the MOST Ring.

^ Pressing one of the buttons to load/eject a disk into the CDC does not respond.

^ Applying a long press of any of the buttons to load/eject all six disks does not respond.

^ Head unit may display please insert CDx" (x indicates the slot number in the CDC).

^ During the CD scan process, the flap of the upper control panel may seize.

Note : The Diagnostic Trouble Codes below may be triggered in the Compact Disc Changer (CDC) and thus in the Audio Gateway (AGW):

D000: Control Unit A2/6 (CD Changer) faulty

D106: MOST component at position 6 reports open Ring

D117: Specified/Actual configuration of MOST Ring differs

D136: The wake-up line has Short circuit to positive

1. Check the CD Changer's part number by connecting SDS using the following path:

Control Unit-->Information and Communication-->Audio, video, navigation and telematics-->CDC-CD Changer-->Control unit version

2. If CD changer part number is A211 820 24 89, replace with either A211 827 55 42 80 (Non MP3 CD changer) with Q4 level or higher or with A211 870 08 89 (MP3 Compatible) Q4 or higher. Refer to WIS document AR82.64-P-7508T.

3. Select the CDC fault code menu using the following path:

a. Control Units

b. Information and communication

c. Audio, video, navigation and telematics

d. CDC- CD changer

e. Fault codes

4. Select the Erase fault codes, perform a self-test and read out the fault codes.

5. Check the fault codes: if their status is "stored" then erase the DTC and CD changer is working correctly.

6. If any of the DTC's status is "Current and stored" then contact Technical Assistance Center (TAC) for further assistance.
