installing new stereo
My father had a car stereo in his used car and when he couldn't sell the car, he let me remove the parts.
I got 2 amps, 3 6x9 speakers, 2 12' subs, and a power capacitor.
This will be my first attempt at installing a stereo, but most of the equipment is free, so why not. I'm condsidering the alpine cda-9856 head unit because of the way it connects to my ipod.
Should I install the 6x9s in the trunk? I would probably port the trunk with a hole under the med kit. Also, is there any way to incorporate the stock amp with a new head unit? I wanted to use it to power the door speakers.
I've been researching w124 stereo systems for the past month, so I have a decent understanding of them, but I could use a lot of help.
