Makahveli,
Shoot me a offer via PM and I'll let you know. I'd like to get rid of whole set of springs as well as the shocks. But if I can't get out the front struts you can take the rear shocks.
Also, Rear springs will come with a 3 bump spring pads.

I still may keep my vogtlands and shim the front a bit to level it out. I really like the ride with the vogtlands. If the HR's take too long then I'll cancel them. THe ride quality will not change with the camber arms. I have a good feeling that I'll probably be keeping the vogtlands on the car.

Let me know what you end up doing to the Vogtlands in regards to the modifications, So I can do the same as well if I decide to keep the springs.

Chris,
I drove in a HR lowered car and did not like the ride quality. This is just my opnion and partly due to the poor roads in michigan. I loved my 203 ride in Texas with HR but don't like it in Michigan now. I am going to keep the vogtlands and cancel the HR order. I already have a #4 pad on the fronts so I am going to modify a No3 pad and shim it. I'll take some pics and post later.

H&R's give a stiffer ride for sure.
As far as your issues, the 400e engine is only like 50 pounds heavier than a 300e as far as I remember. the inline 6 engine is quite heavy as it is.
The bump 5 pads I think are from a w202 C class.
Eibachs supposedly give a nicer ride than h&R but aren't as low but that is only what I have heard.
Maybe look intot he factory Sportline springs. those drop the car a bit and give it a nice ride to boot.
Shocks should be fine for 300e and 400e as far as I know.
I am almost at the point that I am going to change my neuspeed (really just rebranded H&R's) out for some stock springs. my car rides quite stiff in comparison to other w124's.

Great. Another confirmation that HR is too stiff. I'm going to shim my vogtlands tomorrow so I'll take pics of it. The ride is awesome with the vogtlands. Very comfortable. You should also consider those. THe drop is quite a bit though.

lots of cars
Eibach springs have a nicer ride than H&Rs but i'm running Bilstein HD shocks and if i made the switch to Sports i'm sure i'll be .05-"1 lower since the HD shocks are longer. Anyone ever tried Eibach with Bilsteins sports?
Anyone ever mixed springs? Like H&R in the rear and Eibachs in the front?

I did not get a chance to bump up the car today. It was raining all day. The damn rubbing is annoying though. I am going to do it tomorrow. I think 1/2" on top of the #4 pad should do the trick.

they only seem to have some generic 'mr. gasket' things, and no specs on how much they will raise it...
man, that means waiting til saturday to go to the dealer, pre-pay, and then wait for the parts to arrive, then go pick up, and then maybe install next weekend or the weekend after. weak!

I shimmed the car today. I already have a No 4 pad installed so I used a N3 pad on top of it. I personally don't like this method but it will suffice until a more suitable remedy is done. I cut the no. 3 pad so only the donut remained. Pics comign soon,.

Neither do I; I worry about the top of the spring coming out of the cup over a big pothole or something. My car is level right now woth a #4 = #4; I think I'll do the same as you and go to a #3 + #4, it will lower the nose by about 1/4" for a slight rake, looks better that way.
Sunman, I'm thinking of bolting the spacer & the pad together with 3-4 stainless steel bolts & fender washers, the rubber is quite dense and thick, that would hold the two together, what do you think?

Eric,
if the bolts rub against the metal then it may make a noise. I checked vogtland's website and it appears there are suppose to be 3 different springs for the w124. ranging from 30-60mm. There are 30, 40 and 60mm lowering springs. I assume we all have 60mm lowering springs. I would rather get a 40mm and fine tune the drop wih a rubber pad.
