Exclamation Temperature Sensor and Lamps Faults.

Hi,

I got new faults now. The temperature sensor a few days ago started reading negative and now dies out about 5 seconds after I start the car. Also, as soon as I turn on the lights, the Lamp-Out warning light comes on.

Please Help!

Falconeer.

the "lamp out" light senses amperage changes (or is it volts or watts?) throughout the light wiring. Sometimes if you use bulbs that are different enough from stock, it will set off that light even though nothing is out.

i have the light on as well but i know it's cause one of the Licence plate lights is out, i'd go around and check all your bulbs to make sure they are working that way you know it's not a burnt out bulb, since that's an easy 3 minute job.

^^^Most practical suggestion. Check your tailights. As for the temp. reading, the sensor might be gone, it's next to your front license plate. (right side)

i dont recall where i heard it from but the car measures amps/ ohms/ resistance (?) across the lights and can detect when a new light is plugged in with an old one. and that slight difference between a new and old bulb is enough to trigger the idiot light

try a new sensor for your temp sensor.

Hi Guys,

Got the temp issue solved. The sensor had its wires somehow cut. I just cut them more and re-attached them. Everything is sine now.

The STUPID LAMP WARNING IS STILL ON!

Thanks though!

Falconeer.

dont forget to check the tiny bulb on the very side of the brake lamps. Those go out most often and they are hardly noticeable. The car should light up in the back so you can see it from the side.
