question about indicator lights

I was wondering if anyone knew, I have clear corners on my car with organge bulbs, and are the indicators supposed to be ALWAYS on when the car is turned on? It looks really ugly, the idea of me getting them was to eliminate the constant orange. Is there a remedy to this at all?
Thanks in advance.

If you mean with headlights on, yes in USA, no in rest of world.

If you mean whether headlights or park lights switched on or not, never.

yeah...there are some bulbs that are coated in some sort of silver-ness that conceal the actual amber color...i have them on my crystal turn signals. they are barely noticeable and have a cool amber color when they are on.....check out my first pic on the picture thread on page 11 post#509. BTW, my turn signals/clear corners arent always on when the car is on. Come to think of it, i dont know if we are talking about the same lights but still check it out to see if we are....

I'm talking about the front indicators..
I am in canada but my car is a US car does that mean they will stay on while the car is on? is there a way to wire them differently?

Why don't you get some really bright LEDs, sure a LEO can chew your *** about it but you sure will look good in the process. Actually as long as it looks white and not blue-ish they'll more than likely ignore it.

Awesome, I'll try disconnecting wire #4 and see if that gets me anywhere. Thanks a lot.
