I've seen this video some time ago, the driver is one of the best drifters in Japan no question, Also I've seen this same conversion on a SL500 in Japan again.
I really like this conversion BTW.

I dont know if I would do that, I mean, the 500E is an automotive Icon and (in my eyes) should be left as is.

just my humble opinion

looks hella fun no nonetheless

IIRC a 500E is not very expensive to buy in Japan, I found a couple around when I was looking for my W124 for around $13-$16K.
But that 500E had a Euro number plate trunk, while they 'usually' have the short plate one, maybe an early batch?

The same could be said of the Supra but everyone has their own opinion on that subject.

I bet the boost makes the car 100x more fun to drive though.

You sound alittle bias towards the CE lol....but this engine on any mercedes is the shiiiit...

You can get a 2jz engine to put out 1000hp but the car and suspension wouldn't be able to handle it.....For some reason i would never buy a supra....

Check this out 2500 with transmission....Probably another 3-4k on the swap and 6500 for a fast *** car!! the already come wiht the front sump oil pan so the only mod you need is engine and tranny mounts...also electrical and drive shaft mods...i would recommend to change to a rear end with LSD....

Asians are just crazy in general when it comes to modding... Here is a owner from Indo with a 2JZ swap.

I would give props to the mechanincs who built that car not taking race into the equation because there has been some pretty crazy cars built by other people that are not asian....so to say in general??...i don't know about that one...

I would say their good at making fiberglass parts and tunning Multi-Valve engines like the 2jz-gte...

You'll see the difference in quality of work if u go to sema show at the end of the month...

Metal work and making tons of hp...u gotta give the U.S props....

This one built by rad rides by troy..

i think he meant it as 'asians generally do crazy mods', rather than 'crazy mods are generally done by asians'... i dunno.

either way, i think that video was pretty hot, and it looked like that thing had nice smooth power, i loved it!

When amg stuffed a 6.0 L engine in the 300e in 1986 i think it was pretty crazy and germans have been doing pretty crazy mods since forever...

I know what he meant but i just think the car modding scene has been taken over in a sense and spray painted interiors have been the norm now..

I'm totally for the engine swap and would like to do it myself but engine swaps into other cars is not an asian thing...JUST FORGET IT...THE FAD IS GOING TO FADE AWAY SOON I HOPE.......
