Fan clutch for 400e question.....
I'm in the market to purchase a fan clutch for my 1993 400e. It was involved in a front end collision, so I have no other option but to replace it. My question is, does anyone know the differences between the fan clutch on my 400e and a 400sel model? If you've ever replaced your fan clutch I'm sure you aware of what these puppies cost new......around $450+. Not cheap by no means, but I'd notice that the 400sel fan clutch, looks exactly alike, it has the same 4.2L engine, uses the same fan blade and is only 1 digit off it's oem part numbers, 1192000022 (400sel) to the1192000122 (400e). I found one on ebay for a fraction of the cost and am serious considering on purchasing it.
