1991 E300 4matic EHA puzzle
My engine is registering an EHA fault and occasionally triggering an O 2 sensor fault. Both components have been replaced - the harness from each has had the wires replaced - and still my mercedes mechanic gets the EHA code.
I took the car in for cold start problems here in Homer Alaska and the engine has noticeably less pep and rougher idle since the EHA problem started.
Years ago the vehicle was brought in for cold start problems but the folks at Anchorage MB purged the records for all work prior to 2000. The time and expense is getting serious.
Does anyone have any ideas about causes and fixes? Are there wires from other related sensors that could be causing this? Is there a possibility of fuel or firing triggering an EHA fault? I certainly have no ideas.
thanks

welcome to our forums friend.
Let me ask you something -
has the OVP ever been replaced? Funny thing happened to me once.
My car had developed some SERIOUS starting and Idling issues about a year back after my alternator quit working. I would have a hard time turning my car on during the cold new england winter days (even after alternator replacement!), and it would also Idle like CRAP!
I had all sorts of weird electical issues going on all over the place, and all my indicator lights would be on like a darn X-mas Tree!
well, turned out to be my OVP (Over Voltage Protection). Immediately after my ovp was replaced I noticed my dash warning lights all but dissapeared. my car was turn key again and idle was back to bread and butter![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
