94 E320 Valve problem

Hi, need some help. I've got a 94 E320 with 275K Kilometers. I've owned it for 2 years and love it. I also have a 90 300E which I love even more, but it doesn't have the power of the 104 engine, when it's running!!
Anyway, I replaced the head gasket on the 94 about 50K ago (18 months). Yesterday it developed a rattle in the engine that I thought was a coil. Checks show it isn't. Compression test gives 150 in all except #3 which is 120.
If I pressurize the cylinder I can hear air escaping into #1 and into the valve cover area.
I think the problem is the intake valve on 3 isn't closing...maybe the spring is broken!!??
Does anybody know if the 104 engine is prone to guides or springs failing?
Also, this car has started to stall in the rain!
Yep....it hates water!!
Let it sit for awhile and it runs fine. Usually throws a IAT or coolant temp sensor code, which are fine. I've heard about problems with the wiring harness in this model. Any advice?
Thanks people.
