Paint Restorer?? You seen this?

I have experience with 3M products. I detailed in a shop for 2 years with lots of different product experience and the few I enjoy using are 3M and meguiars but theres plenty others too. If you are going to be using a buffer of that quality, the results will only vary on experience and proper use of the products. Dont forget that if your car is ridiculously shiny, the blemishes will not be as pronounced but faded paint can almost always be restored to a near perfect shine.
If you dont plan on maintaining your paint shiny every 6 months, then I would just give it to a detail shop and let them do what they do best. Its a cool hobby to learn, really enjoyable if the weather is nice and the shine at the end makes it worth it.

Thank you for your thoughts. I feel the same way you do. I currently use a 2200 RPM buffer with the Meguiars cleaner, yellow wax, new car glaze system. I get a real good shine, but I have to really get after it every 3 months. The former owner of my 400E neglected the exterior (and interior). I really enjoy spending the time ona clear day with a few beers working on the car.
I am going ot check this guy out tomorrow - he is doing my buddy's 91 SEL. Ill let yo uknow what I find out.
