Yes.

You will need to convert your U.S 4 pin configuration to the EURO 6 pin.

I believe I used the tail light connectors(female) from the tail lights on a 94 E320 sedan for my euro's. No problems so far.

Katmac will sell you everything you need in a kit. Including the wiper plate and the 6-pin connector with instructions. It's super easy.

As far as the ceramic bulb holder/connector thingy, I didn't even replace mine with a ceramic one. I just got one that said it was for over-wattage bulbs. The wires that come out of it are much heavier guage than the TYC ones.

Bosch will be nice, but they will be expensive. TYC's or Depos will work completely fine.

I hear you on ebay's dangers. I lost 1400 bucks on ebay once when I tried to buy a g4 laptop a few years ago. Ebay sent me an email saying they would stand by the transaction, but when the **** hit the fan they didn't even answer phone calls. Ebay is a *****, but Katmac is all gravy!

yeah, katmac is easy to work with. looks like they are out of stock right now, though. They used to sell the metal wiper plates to replace your current ones, but it looks like you might need to go to the dealership to get them. I've heard they're pretty cheap. I don't know which model W124 they came off of, but apparently one model didn't have the headlight wipers. So you just have to ask for those.

the fake HID bulbs are obvious when you see them, IMO. If you want HID's, either do it 100% or don't do it at all. And if you do it, you need clear lenses, not the fluted ones from euros. So you may need to send them to a machine shop that can smooth them out for you (I'm not sure what kind of outfit can do this for you). It's counter productive to try and increase your lighting for safety reasons only to blind (and therefore endanger) oncoming traffic.

Are the euros really fluted that bad? I thought I saw somewhere that soemone did that and the beam patter was good still... On the DOT spec, I can see the cause for concern, but the euros that you have seem to be mostly smooth glass.

I agree. People see "HID" and they want it. They like the way it looks on expensive cars. The problem is, expensive cars have expensive headlights. There's a reason that most bi-xenon HIDs (or whatever the hell they are) add thousands to the price of a car. There is a huge amount of technology that goes into them. You can't get that kind of technology for $60 on eBay. You just can't.

This would trash the beam pattern, please don't do this. The problem with DOT spec lenses is not that they are fluted (if that's the right term for those little ridges inside the bulb), it's that they have a lens designed to scatter the light in a big wide blob all over the road. The DOT came up with this because they wanted headlights to shine on street signs and traffic signs but not blind other drivers. Euro spec lenses focus the light on the road in a specific pattern (meaning NOT a big amorphous blob). If you've ever driven with this type of bulb, it's great for driving, but can make it hard to see some street signs. My guess is that in Europe the street signs are better lit than they are here, or they're just not too worried about them .

Or, have your little college buddies ride inside your engine compartment sans headlights and have them poke LED flashlights out of the gaping holes.

blue ones are really cool!

THe new audi R8 is going to be the first production car to use LED's as headlights. It is an option now but will become standard, something that I think will revolutionize the headlights in cars in years to come. I would actually like to look into doing this for a w124. If you were to make a large array of LED's aimed properly of course, you could get some serious light output with the amount of headlight area we have on our cars.... Mmmm, give me some time, i'll give 'er a try. I just need to make friends with some of the electrical engineering students to help me figure the wiring/loads/circuitry.

I wasn't joking.

Yes I've heard of the LED headlight idea.

if you look at the audi used in the movie I robot (the same one they had as a prototype) it used a three line array of LED lights in place of headlights...I think.

Also, have a look at the new *gag* w221 s-class convertible, it features a similar set up.

I was thinking og doing LED foglights for quite sometime, I'm serious.
