new flowmaster pics
Brand new Flowmaster that I just got installed today. I love the sound, and I love the slight performance increase, I just don't like how low the tips hang. Let me know what ya'll think.

flowmaster, do you have any rasp or bark to the exhaust note? Flowmaster's are hollow chamber whereas magnaflows have sound deadening material inside to act like a resonator. I had a flowmaster on my v8 400E and it sounded great but I wasn't sure how a flowmaster would sound on my I6 300TE so I stuck with magnaflow.
I'd take it back and have them pull the tips back so it sticks out maybe an inch or two past the bottom of the bumper. I prefer the tucked in look with my exhaust, but that's just me.

It sounds raspy/slight bark for sure I would say. I knew Flowmasters are hollow, but it couldn't be avoided. I already had a universal Magnaflow with tips that I wanted to get installed, but they said it wouldn't fit because the inlet wasn't offset. I personally love it though.
I totally agree. I wanted it just an inch or so out of the bumper. So that when you looked, you saw it, but not so far that you can see the weld from the tips to the muffler.
I'll take it back for sure.

Do you think its possible for you to somehow record your car revving so I can hear what it sorta sounds like? Im not sure if I shoild get a different exhaust :C On the matter of the tips, I do think that they are a bit low and stuck out far. I kinda like the whole Im here if you look type thing for exhausts. I hope having them re-adjust goes well for you
