My friend has an 1985 E300 but no computer, I have a 2005 SLK350. My question for him is that his 300E shuts down a minute or so after he starts it. I think it has something to do with the factory alarm system. He lives in NY & Fl & leaves the car here in Fl so he drives it for 2 weeks every 2 months or so. This started happening when he was disconnecting the battery when he left. He says one of the actuators does not work for one of the rear doors. Could this be affecting the alarm, also when he unlocks the trunk the drivers door locks. Seems like the fuel pump is shutting it down. Any ideas???

 

Take a look at your OVP relay....ha, I said it first.
