No blower in 1986 300E

Hi all- Happy new year to everyone....my problem is this.... I noticed that my heater was not blowing at all....no problems with the fan, no noise, just all of a sudden no blower....the car does seep heat though and will get warm....

I have searched the forums, and don't believe my car has the second coffin-type fuse by the driver wheel well.....years ago i rewired the blower motor fuse out of the fuse box, as the contacts had burnt up in the fuse box....this was the fix recommended by the repair guide....the new fuse would blow once every six months or so and i would replace it and be fine....

this time it's not the fuse, and as there was no lead up or warning signs, i don't want to just start swapping parts....

any ideas are appreciated......px, chris
