to be perfectly honest, the euros are a huge upgrade from stock, and im running silverstars for now...but i cant help but be disappointed when someone with xenons or etremely bright headlights drives up behind me and somehow makes a shadow in front of my car(this is while my headlights are on)

UGh, the never ending candella wars :\ I use silverstars right now, but in the DOT US spec craplights they didnt make too killer a difference.

Im not really looking for an improvement in visibility, i can see just fine with what i have, i actually drive with my fog lights rather than main beams cause it looks more sinister imo, i just want to get rid of the yellow tinge that the stock bulbs have

I HAVE to drive with high/fog all the time because otherwise I cant see **** on the road. I hate these lights with the ever burning passion of a thousand suns.

Xenons use to **** me off so much when they first came out, i think they started to be regulated though and had to be modified on later models? not sure though but the newer models don't seem to be anywhere near as anoying

Projected/aimed Xenons are completely unobtrusive. The blinding and annoying xenons are xenons that were improperly retrofitted or xenon bulbs rebased into halogen housings which just spew light everywhere and blind people.

charlestonn, did u take the yellow cover off of your fog lights? and brett, try the optilux i linked to earlier. try em out, they sell em at strauss auto i believe. make sure you get the xb's, the non-street-legal ones. open it carefully and if you dont see a traumatic improvement, just return em. only like $30 or less for a set.

I'm runnin' PIAA H4 Xtreme White and PIAA H3 Super Plasma. Both are great lights. They don't come close to the output of HID's, but they do have a clean, clear and bring light output. The Xtreme White put out exactly what the name says...WHITE!...not blue. The super plasmas look closer to HID's since they have a tint of purple to them. Both were worth the $$ to me.
Yes they are expensive 60-70 a pair....but they have yet to fail me. I've had friends that buy the cheap ones for $15-20 and they get a burn out within a year. My PIAA's have been good to me for 5 years and 2 cars!
PIAA's are the same Watt as stock...but you gotta be careful with some aftermarket bulbs out there that are high wattage and give out lots of heat which could melt things that shouldn't be melting.
SaijinNaib sounds like you need to invest in some euros!

I believe the European version has slightly a different lens pattern. According to another thread I read on here some time ago. Anyone know what that different pattern does?

Those are actually the incorrect European headlights. Those are the headlights designated for the cars between the years of 87-93 because there is no groove/indent for the hood of the 1994/1995 cars. They don't appear to be much different, but there is a difference between the 94/95 us dot spec headlights and the european headlights. These are the steps in which you need to take to get the best out put
1. Get the correct European headlights
2. Upgrade bulbs to ones that aren't tinted
3. Retrofit Projectors into the headlamps
4. Get HID Bixenon projectors in the headlamps
5. Weld the light from atop the luxor hotel in Las Vegas on the front of your car. ( this might make your car a bit heavy...)
