Exhaust problem

So I play baseball at school, and I had 3 teammates in my car the other day. I went over a speed bump, slowly, of course, and something scraped badly on the undercarriage. I think it was the cat... That shouldn't be happening obviously, because I just had my exhaust redone. Do you guys think I should just take it back and tell them to fix it free of charge? That never happened before I had them mess with it. I'm also worried about when I lower the car. There isn't that much clearance as it is.

I would have the shop that installed your new exhaust hit that problem. Apparently it's hanging lower than O.E. specs. I HATE the sound of an exhaust scrapping.

is a German Tank
take it back to the shop pronto. My car usually sits really low (sags...really) due to all the crap I keep back there for the kids, and I never scrape bumps. OEM exhaust.

so the exhaust tech said that the sagging could also be due to a weak suspension. I think it is about time for some new shocks... as if it wasn't already time before. might as well have my springs put on at the same time i guess. any idea how much this would cost to have shocks and springs installed?

Don't feel bad.....I thought the width of my tires was the culprit behind a significant rub up front. Wrongo. Turns out my front right shock is toast and it happens to be the only side that rubs with any regularity. Looks like my rig is getting some Bilstein Sport shocks and some springs sooner rather than later.

well the shop said they would fix it for free. so, i'm without my car for another day. no big deal in the long run. but new shocks are in order anyway.
