Kick panel vinyl repair?
I have noticed in several pictures of other member's cars, that they're door's kick panels are starting to delaminate along the top edge of the map pocket. That is to say that the vinyl covering is coming unglued from the inside of the map pocket which allows the edge of the vinyl to lift and become visiblee vinyl. Sadly, mine are as well. I suspect this might be a bigger problem in cars that have spent the most time in really warm climates. My car started life in TX and has been in AZ for the last seven years. Yeah, yeah I know....it's a dry heat! LOL.
I was wondering if anyone had successfully fixed their kick panels by reglueing, clamping, etc.? If not that, is that portion of the interior door panel replaceable and available through MB? Any help, tips or tricks is appreciated.

mine have are coming undone as well but havent bothered me long enough to do something about it....i will sooner or later but i have much worse problems than that, like fixing my sunroof, a/c, etc.... my point here is that i have seen one thread when in joined that talked about the same situation. someone took the panels off, reglued them, and clamped them with some c-clams or something along the lines of that over night or for a day or so...i will try searching to see if i can find it...

Mine is coming off as well too.
What I liked about the '90 300E I had was that the side panels were plastic so it I didnt have eto worry about that issue.

Here is the DIY for the kick panel. Now I'm wondering how to remove the rear door panels to fix the rattles. Any ideas? I don't see a single screw.

My moms 95' E320 had that problem as well. My bro glued and clamped without taking the panel off. It didn't hold so well.
I'm thinking that taking the time and removing the panel then meticulously gluing and clamping would do the job. Maybe even clean off the old glue off the plastic and prep the surface.
I'd also be sure to use the right glue for the job. Is super glue best?
