Headlight wiper arm removal
Ok so Im in the process of switching out my original US-Spec headlights for a pair of Bosch euros. I have read all the posts stating that US wiper assemblies won't work on the euros and at this point I'm inclined to agree. but being hard headed I'm not giving up just yet. The problem I'm running into right now is how to remove the wiper arm from the shaft. any input will be greatly appreciated

Tried side to side swapping of motors to correct travel direction, but US-spec shafts are too long to allow the wiper blades to contact the light lenses. Could spend money getting shafts re-machined to correct length but I'll probably just check with the local MB dealer and order the correct motors, wiper arms and filler panels. (in other words, get out the wallet) I ordered the lights from Adsitco. Price was just under $500 for the pair. and definately a worthwhile upgrade in both appearance and function. I just wish the wiper changeover was as easy as the lights.

Savannah,
For about $25.00 you can buy a wiper delete panel from Mercedes. Unless you really need the wipers in Georgia I think the car looks better without the them. Much cleaner look.
Note though you will have to paint the panels to match your car. I did mine with a rattle can (Dupli-Color) from Pep Boys but my car is 040 Black and it is an easy match.
The wipers you need will probably cost as much as your new lights.
Take Care

is there a How To anywhere I can read before diving in?
Thanks.
